Useful information
Objects of vehicle valuation studies
Vehicles, damaged parts and materials needed for a goods and value study.
Vehicles
- Passenger cars and motorcycles.
- Freight and commercial vehicles.
- Trailers, semi-trailers and other equipment agreed for examination.
- Specialist equipment — after assessment of the particular task and competence required.
Damaged objects and components
- Vehicles before repair, after repair or in a damaged condition.
- Removed parts, components and assemblies where relevant to the agreed task.
- Usable salvage and information on completeness and fitness for use.
- Registration documents, inspection records, photographs and calculations.
Condition at a past date
Valuation at a past date requires information on condition, specification and mileage in that period. Current condition is not automatically attributed to the past date. If the vehicle has changed or is unavailable, conclusions are assessed against the surviving materials.
Limits of the examination
Listing a vehicle type does not mean every order is automatically accepted. Questions, source data, competence and working conditions are assessed first. Accident mechanics and fault are outside a goods and value study.
