Materials for a vehicle valuation study
Documents, photographs and information to prepare for a vehicle study.
For the first enquiry
- Vehicle make, model, production year, specification and mileage.
- VIN and registration details, to the extent necessary to identify the object.
- Study purpose, valuation date and a brief description of the circumstances.
- Overview photos of the vehicle and separate damage photographs.
- Inspection record and insurer's or repair shop's calculation, if available.
- Questions and documents relevant to the task.
For repair costs and insurance calculations
- Pre-repair photographs and inspection record, and information on previous damage.
- Accident or other event documents, insofar as relevant to the study.
- Insurance calculation listing labour, parts, materials, coefficients and totals.
- Work orders, invoices, work completion records and information on actual repairs.
- Documents showing specification, mileage and condition as of the relevant date.
- For a review: the complete report with appendices, source materials and the questions posed.
For market value, diminution in value and usable salvage
The valuation date, vehicle characteristics, condition before and after damage, previous repairs and available documents are needed. For usable salvage, completeness and fitness of surviving components matter; the list is refined for the specific task.
Before repairs or alteration of the object
Where possible, agree on inspection before repairs, dismantling or sale of damaged parts. If changes have already been made, report them and retain records, original photographs and information on replacement parts. Necessary actions for vehicle safety and preservation depend on the circumstances; do not use a defective vehicle to obtain extra photographs.
Files and personal data
The form accepts JPG, JPEG, PNG, PDF, DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, TXT, RTF, HEIC and ZIP: up to 10 files, 10 MB each and 15 MB in total. Videos and large materials are sent separately through an agreed channel.
Send only information relevant to the task. Where possible, obscure unnecessary passport details, addresses and information on other persons. The sender's confirmation does not replace an independent basis for processing third parties' personal data.
Send vehicle documents and photographs
After review, the work format, cost, time frame and missing materials can be determined.
